The First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution says that everyone in the United States has the right to practice his or her own religion, or no religion at all.

Halal is a direct violation of the religious rights of all Non-Muslims. I being a Non-Muslim cannot comply to Halal which is a part of Islamic Law (Sharia Law). Many restaurants and meat shops in USA are selling only 'Halal' products which forces non Muslims like me to unwillingly comply to a law which is not even remotely related to American Law or Culture.

Halal is not just about meat and slaughterhouses. We have Halal medicines, Halal Cosmetics and even Halal Financing Institutions !!! Muslim constitute about 1% of population of USA but worth of Halal Industry in US alone is 20 Billion USD. Worldwide the Halal Industry is worth 3 Trillion USD !!! It is really surprising that a mere "certification" industry worth billions of dollar is created in US to pander to a religious community which is just 1% of country's population. All this at the cost of the beliefs of all others religious communities. Thus I feel that there are enough reasons to object to Halal Industry's interference in the life of Non-Muslims.

Through this petition I would like to appeal to President Donald Trump and all leaders of USA irrespective of their political ideology, to protect the religious rights of all Non-Muslims living in USA.
