Free Anthony DeJohn, Life sentence for a Non Violent Marijuana charge

My son, Anthony DeJohn was sentenced to life plus 10 years for a nonviolent marijuana offense.

Please help us petition for his clemency. Anthony has been incarcerated since 2005.

Anthony has a loving family including his wife Jill, his two adult children, his parents, and even a grandson waiting on his return. He wants desperately to return to the people who love him and have stood by him. Anthony has always worked hard and has construction skills which would ensure gainful employment and a seamless transition back into society.

Despite the fact that many states have legalized marijuana for medical use, and some even for recreational use, my son is sentenced to die in prison. This is far harsher than the punishment for many murderers, pedophiles, rapists and other violent people. Out of approximately 32  co-defendants in his case, Anthony is the only one who remains behind bars.

Releasing a previously productive member of society, whose crime involved no violence and no victims would not only benefit Anthony and the family who love him, it would also benefit our society at large. It makes no fiscal sense to keep a man, who was never a danger or threat to anyone, locked behind bars until he dies. It is precisely these types of sentences that undermine the public's trust in the system. Please show compassion and help us free my son. Thank you.

Please be advised, Anthony is not the only Anthony DeJohn in the federal system. If researching his case, please be sure it is Anthony DeJohn from New York with ONLY marijuana charges.

Anthony would love to hear from anyone who is backing him:
