“When injustice is law, resistance is duty.”
Yes. We are tired. You are tired. We are tired of seeing loved ones die. You are tired of doing all you can and more to save their lives, but they die anyway. We are tired of knowing you have died, leaving your loved ones behind. Leaving us all feeling grieving, helpless and angry. Until, Ivermectin — that the world learned about from March 2020.
We know you don’t have proper PPE. We know you don’t have proper oxygen, medicine, and beds. We know you are threatened into silence, many reaching out to us to say your hands are tied behind your backs, that you are forced to accept certain unsafe options or lose your jobs, that you appreciate our tireless campaigning. But it is as Martin Luther King Jr. said, “Silence is betrayal, silence is consent.” We cannot consent to the crime against humanity committed against our great nation. Those who betray us now, history and justice, will remember them.
When they tell you that Ivermectin refusal, criminalising health care workers, and traumatising the public is legal, you tell them there is a difference between what is legal, and what is just. Apartheid was ‘legal’. The Holocaust was ‘legal’. Genocides, occupations, and dehumanisation around the world are ‘legal’. The purpose of law must be the pursuit of justice. Unjust laws violate the essence of our world-renowned Constitution. Urgent Ivermectin rollout, will be its litmus test.
THE HIPPOCRATIC OATH AND THE HELSINKI DECLARATION
We urge you to remember your beautiful Oath and The Helsinki Declaration of the World Medical Association, the 48th General Assembly of which happened in South Africa, in the dawn of our democracy, 1996. The last WMA General Assembly was held in 2013 in Cape Town. The next public gathering of WMA must be held in South Africa in 2021:
ARTICLE 3: The Declaration of Geneva of the WMA binds the physician with the words, “The health of my patient will be my first consideration,” and the International Code of Medical Ethics declares that, “A physician shall act in the patient’s best interest when providing medical care.”
ARTICLE 4: It is the duty of the physician to promote and safeguard the health, well-being and rights of patients, including those who are involved in medical research. The physician’s knowledge and conscience are dedicated to the fulfilment of this duty.
ARTICLE 37: Unproven Interventions in Clinical Practice: In the treatment of an individual patient, where proven interventions do not exist or other known interventions have been ineffective, the physician, after seeking expert advice, with informed consent from the patient or a legally authorised representative, may use an unproven intervention if in the physician’s judgement it offers hope of saving life, re-establishing health or alleviating suffering. This intervention should subsequently be made the object of research, designed to evaluate its safety and efficacy. In all cases, new information must be recorded and, where appropriate, made publicly available.
ETHICAL HEALTH SCIENCE VS CAPTURED HEALTH CARE
Dr Andrew Hill (Ivermectin researcher for the WHO): A: “If you roll (Ivermectin) out too late, you could be a monster, denying access to a lifesaving drug. 4–6 weeks gives a window of opportunity to make a decision” and order the drug, or supplies will run out. In the Financial Times: “The purpose of this report is to forewarn people that this is coming. Get prepared, get supplies, get ready. We need to be ready.” He also said that authorities demanding new clinical trials raises “all sorts of questions”. Hill said a meta-analysis of 18 randomised trials involving 2 294 subjects showed Ivermectin is associated with “faster time to viral clearance, shorter duration of hospitalisation, higher rates of clinical recovery and a 75% improvement in survival rates”. By April 21 there will be 27 trials of 10 000 patients globally. Can we afford to wait with these faulty PCR tests, that even the WHO has finally questioned?
Meanwhile, former South African specialist doctor and MATH+ and I-MASK+ protocol co-founder Paul E Marik said on The People’s Voice, 17 January 2021 (on Salaamedia): “It is absurd that Ivermectin has become a political and economic issue. This is science and medicine. Ivermectin is a wonder drug. It is cheap and it works. That is why it is being blocked. It defies logic that it is not already rolled out for Covid-19. We say enough suffering. This immoral ban is a crime against humanity. With a holistic approach, Ivermectin could turn this pandemic around.”

Last week, I asked Health Minister Zweli Mkhize: Is Ivermectin blocked because: a) Funding conflict of interest at SAHPRA and DoH, b) We don’t have money because of corruption, or c) Because IVM manufacturing and distribution tender favours are fought over?

CALL FOR UNITED ACTION — POSTER PROTEST NOW!
We call on our health care and frontline workers to protest. Protest for your loved ones. Protest for our loved ones. Protest for the jobs and businesses lost. Protest for unemployment, poverty, homelessness, hunger and depression. Protest for the future of our nation. But we are front liners, you say, how do we go on protest during a pandemic? It is when our collective campaigning for Ivermectin on the ground and online, meets petition, protest, and legal action — that those who seek to pillage this country, and those who serve them without a conscience, will recognise that a people united will never be defeated. We are a creative nation and we always find ways in the solidarity of Ubuntu.
Health care workers have gone on protest countless times before. And it has always resulted in success. Some health care workers may feel that activism is not for you. But it is. We remember the Doctor’s Pact of Dr Xuma, Dr Dadoo and Dr Naicker. We remember the activism of Dr Goonam and Dr Neil Aggett. We remember the words of Prof Fatima Meer who stood firm in front of a bulldozer: “Today it is civil society which is bringing reform in this country and it was the same during the liberation struggle. Now you find that when it comes to rent or poverty or whatever the issues are, it’s civil society that brings them up and therefore you have lots of strong civil movements still.”
CREATIVE PROTEST ACTION: We are asking you to create or print a poster with your Ivermectin message, even if it is on cardboard. Add 3 hashtags: #IVM4SA #Right2Health #SouthAfrica . Take photographs holding the poster, and share them in chat groups and social media. You will have the support of over 55 000 SAHARI members. You will also have the support of a growing majority of South African residents waking up to reality of health, political, and economic dictatorship.
WE THE PEOPLE DEMAND THE RIGHT TO IVERMECTIN
We trust you. We believe in you. We know you are against the unethical, unjust and cruel practices being used against vulnerable people. We know that you have the moral courage and fortitude to stand against a system which seeks to withhold lifesaving treatment from human beings, because the alternative makes them more money. We know that they don’t accept Ivermectin, because when a real treatment exists, they cannot proceed with their secret and lucrative business deals. We know they have signed us up for no opt-out option deals, indebting our nation for centuries. We know that these deals have no liability clauses if their products harm or kill our people. With the conviction of our ancestors, loved ones, and future generations, WE SAY NO! We say no to profit over people. We say no to ivory tower authorities who must be replaced by health care workers who put people first. We say no to a lifetime of debt to those who hold our continent at ransom for resources.
We have the right to freedom of expression. It is time to raise our voices. Not one more life lost. Not one more job lost. Not one more dream destroyed. Remember Steve Biko: “The most powerful weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed.” Do not let them control our minds. We will join you in this Defiance Campaign until Ivermectin is available and umhlonyane/lengana is recognised, until 40 000 health worker positions are unfrozen, until our disaster care system is completely overhauled, until the people have a say in how health care serves us. The power of the people is stronger than people in power. Nothing for us without us. Mayibuye iAfrica! Amandla!
Yours In Health Justice
