The Autism Society Philippines -- its members, friends and supporters -- calls for the passage of Senate Bill No. (SBN) 2890 which seeks to EXEMPT PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES FROM THE 12 PERCENT VALUE-ADDED TAX (VAT) on certain goods and services.  This additional benefit for persons with disabilities is a welcome financial respite for families who live with autism -- considering the national government bears very little, if at all, in the cost of delivery of quality autism services which we desperately need.  

We laud the Aquino administration for passing the Equal Employment Opportunity Act and the Anti-Bullying Law -- two life-changing statutes for many Filipino families who live with autism. And we encourage the leadership to pass this law with the sense of urgency it deserves to cement the administration's legacy of giving Filipinos with less in life, more in law.  Thank you!
