Save Our Shoreline New Jersey #JerseyShore Stop the wind farms off the coast of NJ #WindFarmNJ, United States
Jul 10, 2021

FACT CHECKER AND FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION MISSED THIS WHOPPER!

ORSTED'S front group is pushing false advertising to purposefully mislead the Public. None of the commercial or recreational fishing groups, companies or Captains we've heard from would agree with this bogus and demonstrably FALSE claim:

"Offshore wind developers have spent more than a decade working with the maritime and fishing industries to find solutions that work for all parties"

In fact, the exact opposite is true, ORSTED and other industrial wind developers refuse to answer questions or provide scientific research to back their claims!

IF ORSTED and PSEG and Governor Murphy and the US government under President Biden were living up to the FALSE CLAIMS made in the ad, the Cape May County Commissioners would not have needed to VOTE UNANIMOULSY TO PASS RESOLUTION  "Urge Orsted, PSEG, and the State of New Jersey to Comprehensively and Thoughtfully Engage Community Stakeholders to Address Concerns of the Potential Detrimental Impacts that the Ocean Wind Project May Cause to the Environment, Fishing Industry, Business Community, and Residents of Cape May County"

WHEREAS, the Project Participants have to date failed to adequately engage and provide information to residents, business owners and commercial fisheries about the details and supportive science of the Project, the process leading up to the construction of the wind farm, or the  potential impacts  that  the Ocean Wind Project will have on Cape May County, and this lack of engagement has led to our  residents,  business  owners  and  commercial fisheries being disenfranchised through the process; and

WHEREAS, the Program Participants have, likewise, inadequately engaged the Cape May County Board of County Commissioners (Board) about the details and supportive science of the Project, the process leading up to construction of the wind farm, or the potential impacts that the Ocean Wind Project may have on Cape May County; and

WHEREAS, Cape May County boasts a $6.9 Billion tourism industry and a commercial fishing industry ranking the second largest on the East Coast with a economic contribution of $270 Million...

"...At a workshop meeting earlier in the day, board members heard from representatives of the local fishing industry, including Greg DiDomenico of Lund’s Fisheries near the Cape May Inlet. He said he and others involved in commercial fishing wanted to like the wind power project.

But he argued the project does not take the needs of his industry or the safety of those working on commercial fishing vessels into account.

He and other representatives of the commercial fishing industry told county government that their industry could not coexist with the project as proposed.

“So far, it looks like we are not going to be able to exist within the current size and scale of wind as it is going to be developed,” he said. “The economic impact to the commercial fishing industry would be pretty serious.”

SAME THING IN CONNECTICUT AND ALL ALONG THE ATLANTIC SEABOARD FROM MAINE TO NORTH CAROLINA.

“This entire area here is slated to be a wind farm. “It’s an area larger than the state of Rhode Island.”
“We’re racing forward without the proper science to evaluate if this is good or if this is bad." “We’re afraid we’re going to lose our livelihoods. This is an existential threat to us, said Captain Joe Gilbert, FV Furious, Stonington, CT

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy is also purposefully misleading the Public. Murphy refuses to release the costs of his so-called "Energy Master Plan" WHICH IS BASED UPON UNRELIABLE EXPEN$IVE WIND AND $OLAR. Murphy says New Jersey has to wait 18 months to learn the cost, conveniently well after the November 2021 election when Murphy is on the ballot seeking a second term.

Governor Murphy is following the failed California model, and New Jersey will suffer the same fate: massive increases in electric bills, unreliable electricity = blackouts. And PSE&G and other utility companies will control your thermostat!
Remember the words of one expert,

"The underlying problem with solar and wind is that they are too unreliable and energy-dilute. " "The reason renewables can’t power modern civilization is because they were never meant to. One interesting question is why anybody ever thought they could." -- Michael Shellenberger

"Electric grid reliability and affordability matters. Wind and solar are not capable of being both reliable and affordable—as consumers in California and Texas are starting to learn the hard way. "

PERHAPS THE MOST HONEST THING HEARD OUT OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE NEW JERSEY BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES (NJBPU). FIORDALISO ADMITS HIS BIAS WITH THE WIND TURBINE BROOCH HE WEARS ON HIS LAPEL EACH BPU MEETING.
"The renewable energy source will increase the cost of electricity for New Jersey ratepayers once the farms are built.
"CLEAN ENERGY IS EXPENSIVE, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT," FIORDALISO SAID."

You can appreciate why it is our opinion that ORSTED IS PUBLIC ENEMY #1, spreading their dirty money from their corrupt business partner, Goldman Sachs, around New Jersey to bribe people and organizations into silence; calling the bribes donations or grants does not change the corrupt intent.

We need your help! We are up against the government of Denmark, the government of the United States, the government of New Jersey, Goldman Sachs and the Danish company ORSTED.

You can help by sharing this petition with family and friends today.

You can also help by attending or DONATING $ TO SUPPORT our VIP SPECIAL EVENT with Michael Shellenberger ON THURSDAY JULY 15TH 7PM AT THE OCEAN CITY MUSIC PIER.

THANK YOU!
