Neela Masani and Heather Roberts: Elected members who resigned in 2021

Val Elliott and Moira Sibbald: Appointed members who resigned in 2021

Alwyn Li: Stepped down from his BACP roles in February 2024 after serving on the Finance, Risk, Audit, Policy and Performance (FRAPP) Committee

Michael Golding: Resigned from his role as Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors in February 2023 due to his opposition to SCoPEd

AND NOW …..

·        Ian, who was also Chair of our Governance, Remuneration and Nominations (GRaN) Committee, has told BACP that due to disagreements about governance procedures and the Board’s recent response to an external investigation carried out earlier this year, he feels no longer able to discharge his duties as a Trustee.

·        Charlotte, who was also Chair of our Research Committee, has left due to personal reasons which have meant she can no longer commit the time and resource needed to the role.

BACP members are no longer able to trust the Board, under the chair of Natalie Bailey, to be honest or open and are either leaving the BACP or remaining under immense distress!

It is rumoured that approximately 60 motions were put forward by members for this year’s AGM on 7 November 2024, out of which ONLY TWO are being put forward at the conference!!!

The members NO LONGER have a voice in THEIR association.
