SCAPA ARE SOUNDING OUT THE IDEA OF A PROTEST AT THE BACP AGM

 ON THURSDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2024.

This protest is to support the amendment of SCoPEd which is not fit for purpose.

 It calls on BACP to stop the demotion of their Senior Accredited members and to reinstate the Senior credentials of Supervisors and those who work with children and young people.

The protest demands the removal of the hierarchical columns which are elitist and divisive and damaging to both therapists and clients.

Further, the protest aims to shine a spotlight on the failure of the BACP Board of Governors to restore the effective functioning, accountability and the good reputation of the BACP and to hold them to account for having lost sight of their obligations to represent the best interests and opinions of the members.

This will be a live protest outside the hotel where the AGM is being held. We are trying to get an idea of the numbers of people who would be willing to attend. If you are willing to join us in London on the 7th of November, please send your name and contact details
