Preserve the Coral Springs RC Track

Preserve the Coral Springs RC Track
The Issue
The Coral Springs RC Track at Richard D. Petrillo Park is more than just a race track; it is a sanctuary for those passionate about radio-controlled car racing. For many of us, it is a cherished space where the local RC community gathers to foster skills, share knowledge, and simply enjoy our shared hobby. However, this treasured location is now under threat, and we must act to preserve it.
The RC Track has served the Coral Springs community for decades. Established in the early 1990s, the track has existed for over 30 years and has become a longstanding gathering place for RC enthusiasts.
Over the years, the RC Track has brought together people of all ages and walks of life, providing a unique venue where hobbyists can learn from each other and build lasting relationships. It’s particularly meaningful for younger members of our community, who find inspiration and develop valuable technical skills through friendly competition and collaboration.
Unfortunately, despite its importance, the RC Track is at risk due to potential redevelopment plans for the park. These plans do not acknowledge the value that the track brings to our community both socially and educationally.
We urge the City of Coral Springs to reconsider any plans that would lead to the removal or neglect of this vital community resource.
Please sign this petition to show your support for keeping the RC Track a permanent fixture at Richard D. Petrillo Park. Together, we can ensure it remains a vibrant part of our community for generations to come.
