Preserve the Clothing-Optional Status of DeAnza!

The Issue

Our community cherishes DeAnza Springs, a long-standing club affiliated with the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR).  Dave and Helen pioneered this Resort and grew a large following until they decided to retire.  DeAnza has provided us with a unique environment where we can exercise our right to choose whether or not to wear clothing. We believe in the freedom and comfort that this choice brings, and we are deeply concerned about any potential changes that could infringe upon this right.

DeAnza has been a beacon for naturists for decades, fostering an atmosphere of acceptance and respect. It is one of the few places where people can freely express their preference for nudity without judgment or fear. The club's clothing-optional status is not just a policy; it's part of its identity.

We understand that societal norms around nudity vary greatly, but it's important to note that naturism promotes body positivity and freedom of expression - values that should be respected and protected. According to AANR, there are over 213,000 registered nudists in North America alone (AANR Bulletin), demonstrating significant support for spaces like DeAnza Resort.

We urge those in power to consider our plea – preserve the clothing-optional status of DeAnza. Let us continue enjoying this place as we have done so far - free from unnecessary restrictions on our personal choices. Please sign this petition if you stand with us in protecting our rights at DeAnza.
