Preserve Sunlite Pool and Coney Island, A Cincinnati Summer Staple

The Issue

I have a deeply personal connection with Sunlite Pool and Coney Island. As a child, I spent countless hours at this pool, creating memories that have lasted me a lifetime. My family has been associated with Coney Island for over 40 years, contributing to its legacy in the Cincinnati community. The recent news of these beloved landmarks being sold to a large music company has left our community devastated.

Sunlite Pool and Coney Island are not just recreational spots; they are integral parts of Cincinnati's cultural fabric. They represent our city's history and heritage. These places have served as communal gathering spots for generations of families who share similar stories like mine.

According to the National Trust for Historic Preservation, when historic sites are preserved, they serve as tangible reminders of our shared cultural heritage (National Trust for Historic Preservation). Losing these landmarks would mean losing an essential part of what makes Cincinnati unique.

We urge the local government and relevant authorities to intervene in this matter. Let us preserve these historic landmarks so that future generations can continue to enjoy them and create their own memories here.

Please sign this petition if you believe in preserving the history and culture of Cincinnati through Sunlite Pool and Coney Island.
