Our children are presently at risk of losing the quality education they have been accustomed to at Thanksgiving Elementary School. With plans to transfer them to East Clayton, we face an issue of academic standards that may not align with what our children currently receive. Academic achievement and the strong community at Thanksgiving Elementary have shaped our children - emotionally, socially, and intellectually.

Organizations such as the National Education Association have consistently highlighted the importance of maintaining quality education and its lifelong impacts on students' success. Disrupting our children's educational journey with a sudden shift may negatively affect their academic performance and overall well-being.

It's crucial to remember that each school has its unique academic culture, which takes time to develop and maintain. It is not in our children's best interest to have this disrupted and replaced with uncertainty.
