Catherine Truitt is a dedicated education professional with an extensive background in teaching and educational leadership. She holds a Master's in Education from the University of Washington and a Bachelor's in English Literature from the University of Maryland College Park. Her career includes roles such as North Carolina State Superintendent at the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction and Senior Education Advisor at the Office of the Governor. Catherine has also served as Chancellor at Western Governors University and Assistant Vice President for Academic and University Programs at The University of North Carolina - General Administration. Her teaching experience spans various positions, including English Teacher at West Johnston High School and Olympic High School, and Lecturer of English and Media Studies at Uxbridge College. Additionally, she has worked as an Education Consultant and Turnaround Coach.
