A note about the satellite image above:

The GFRC, Gordon Faber Recreation Complex, is indicated in the lower right corner. It's circled in lime green.

The other lime green circle is where Brookwood Pkwy. crosses Sunset highway. That's where the $1.8 million overpass fence designed by a Californian artist is installed. The artist is a friend of Joan Callaway, Mayor Callaway's wife. The Callaways are from Texas, moved to California, then migrated to Oregon in 1996. They have ulterior motives to re-mold "our town" into an Ananheim north, a Hollywood Boulevard, a Santa Monica pier "happening."

The area inside the red block shows the RR rural reserve land. Look at all the verdant pieces that make up the patch work quilt of properties inside the block? Beautiful! Those are farms.

These are the 2,500 acres that the City of Hillsboro and the City of North Plains want to designate as UR urban reserve.

They are small farms that directly or indirectly produce food for our family tables and friends.

"Without farms, there's not only no food, but there's no future. We need farmland to feed us and sustain our economy -- but also to help restore our planet." (givingcompass.org)

In the last 5 years alone, 23% of our farm land in Washington County has been lost. Between 2012 to 2017, another 30% was lost.
