When you wake up to news like this. Can anything really bring you down? Not today!

Over night, Allen Media Group is apparently back peddling on their promise to lay off over 100 meteorologist in 20+ markets. 

Emily Pike, who has been at the forefront of community information on filing FCC complaints, reports that an anonymous source has confirmed that the weather team at WTVA, as well as other stations across the country, are "safe for the time being" and that they will not be using a hub through the weather channel. 

This is amazing news! I can only think that the voices of the petition signers, the grassroots efforts of concerned communities and the information about the FCC complaint process championed by Emily, had just a little to do with this!

While this is a very fluid process, and some changes may still happen, take pride in knowing you did your part to support your local weather team, no matter where you are located.
