Preserve and protect the iconic sculptures on utility poles in Mar Vista, CA
The Issue
For several years neighbors, tourists and others too numerous to count have enjoyed Lori Powers' whimsical sculptures on power poles along Palms Blvd and Marco Pl in Mar Vista. They transform what would otherwise be ugly visual noise into visual music.
We feel lucky to live in a city where such spontaneous art can flourish!
We the undersigned, wish to keep all of Lori's unique and charming art pieces publicly displayed as close as possible to their current positions.
Furthermore, we demand there be no removal of these community treasures until a plan for their preservation has been agreed.
