Prepare Students for Life, Not Just Tests
The Issue
To,
The Hon'ble Minister of Education
Government of India
Subject: Petition for Comprehensive Education Reforms to Equip Students with Real-Life Skills
Respected Sir/Madam,
Every year, millions of students leave school with good grades—but without essential life skills like financial literacy, CPR, or emergency response. It's time for education to prepare students not just for exams, but for life.
My name is Jenisha Panda, and I am a student who believes that education should prepare us not only for examinations but also for real life.
I respectfully urge the Government of India to consider the following reforms:
- Encourage conceptual understanding and critical thinking by reducing dependence on rote learning.
- Introduce Financial Literacy as a compulsory subject in all Indian Schools.
- Make CPR and Basic First Aid training mandatory in schools.
These practical reforms will help equip students with the knowledge, confidence, and life skills needed to become responsible citizens and face real-world challenges.
I sincerely hope these reforms will be considered and implemented to help create an education system that Prepares students not only for examinations, but for life.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Yours faithfully,
Jenisha Panda
Student and Citizen of India
