Given the rising prices of everything these days, those suffering the most often can't speak for themselves. It is not fair to animals to force veterinarians to charge HST. Having a pet may not be a necessity, but once you have a pet, keeping it healthy is a necessity. Do we want a society where only those in a high income bracket can afford a house pet? If you have a really sick animal, the HST paid to vets and on pet medication during a year can be quite significant. Significant enough to help other animals. More people may spay and neuter their pets as well if there were 15% off. 

Charging HST on veterinary services is just wrong. Please sign this petition if you agree. The tax payers of Nova Scotia just keep giving. It's time for the Nova Scotia government to give a little back in an area that will help animals, who are innocent and deserve the best we can do for them as their care givers!
