Emergency devices to be placed in football stadiums across the UK

Emergency devices to be placed in football stadiums across the UK
The Issue
Football is seen as a very passionate sport in our country, and lately in this season, we have seen what should not be seen in a stadium. Today, My club Newcastle United had to have our game stopped twice due to medical emergencies that the fans had to try so desperately to get the game to stop. This is becoming quite a regular occurrence in the “beautiful game” that something needs to be done to ensure the best for the fans, should they need this. Not only has this happened in Newcastle, but in places such as Watford, West Brom, Stoke, Bristol, and more. This just proves that it is rapidly growing more and more common in football matches and needs to be combatted!
The main aim of this petition is to have an emergency device placed in each stand of football stadiums across the UK to immediately stop the play and grab the attention of nearby paramedics and doctors attending. This is currently happening near enough every week and very little is being done. We witnessed one of our own die outside the stadium due to this and it’s now about time the footballing community did something to combat cardiac arrests.
This is significantly important for me as people should be given the best chance of survival when it comes to medical emergencies such as these. In the Premier League game between Newcastle and Tottenham, a fan collapsed in the East Stand and soon enough entered cardiac arrest. The fans tried desperately after 10 minutes to grab the attention of the players on the pitch. But luckily, not all were as lucky as this fan was that he survived.
Thank you to all of those who have taken the time to read my petition and let’s do the best we can to give struggling supporters the best chance of survival.
