Pre-register 16-year-olds to improve voter registration

The Issue

Voter turnout among 18-25-year-olds is woefully below the levels of all other age groups. The younger generations are the future of this country and should learn how and when to vote. By allowing young citizens to pre-register to vote starting at age 16, we can be more efficient in having young people across the country register to vote in schools and at the DMV - thereby helping to fulfill their duty as knowledgeable and active citizens by the time they reach voting age 18. Join young voters in Maryland, Rhode Island, Delaware, North Carolina, Florida, Hawaii, and Washington, D.C., who can already pre-register at 16 (with California and Oregon allowing 17-year-old pre-registration) and make this law a national standard!
