TERMINATE Ed Hamilton for shooting down loved dog before he strikes again.

!!!PSA- NOT ALL LARGE BREED DOGS ARE "DANGEROUS DOGS"!!!
It broke my heart this morning when one of my friends came to class and told me that a couple of days ago the Pottawatomie County Animal Control shot and KILLED her ONE YEAR OLD Australian Shepherd dog. She said that her dog escaped from their backyard and a neighbor called Animal Control and reported a "dangerous dog" on the loose. My friend said she not ever once heard her dog growl or ever act aggressive in any way towards anyone other than just playing at home. The man that shot her dog said that he couldn't catch the dog and rather have the dog dead than have someone go to the hospital for stitches. This absolutely disgusts me. My own dog, the sweetest little girl in the world, about 1-year-old, would NEVER surrender to some stranger chasing her around with a net and pole. Not only did this man shoot and kill her dog, he took it straight to K-State where they disposed of its body in a "humane" way. My friend wasn't even able to bury her own dog. I've learned that in Riley County our Animal Control doesn't carry guns which makes me feel a little better considering if anything like that ever happened to Hadlee, whoever responsible would have a definite reason to fear losing their job. I couldn't imagine losing my fur baby, my best friend, like that. My heart goes out to you Briana Dietz and I'm so sorry for you loss, nothing will ever make this right." - Chelsey Olson
This is not the first time Ed Hamilton has shot and killed a family dog. He has zero respect for animals nor does he care that he is taking family members out. He does not need to be in a field dealing with animals PERIOD.
There will be a petition to follow about animal control officers not carrying fire arms on the job, tranquilizer guns will be the suggestion.
Please sign so we can get justice!!!!!!!! We don't want anymore animals to have to lose their life because of a cruel and lazy officer!
UPDATE: if you can, please go on Facebook and search hamiltons nuisance animal control & Betty and leave a review please! The next county commission meeting is February 22nd 8:30am to 1:00 or longer @ Pottawatomie county court! Let's FLOOD it! If you live in Kansas and are able to especially if you live in Pottawatomie county please come! This is ENOUGH of this kind of cruelty. It's sickening and needs to come to end. We are also considering submitting the story to WIBW and has already been sent in to K-Rock. We'd love to shine some media on this! We're going to be making fliers as well if you'd like to as well and put them around that'd be awesome, if not find me on Facebook and message me and we can meet up and put fliers up together and talk about what we can do to take further action. Thank you all so so so so much!!!!!!!!! It's so appreciated!!!!! You guys all rock. Please keep signing and sharing!
