"We, the undersigned, call upon the UK Prime Minister and the Monarch to appoint Alan Bates as a life peer. His appointment would be ‘in recognition of his unwavering dedication and tireless campaign seeking justice for all subpostmasters affected by the Post Office use of the Horizon computer system’. 

We believe that Alan Bates' exemplary efforts [widely reported in the media] and his unwavering commitment to seek justice for subpostmasters, make him eminently deserving of a life peerage. 

It is our belief that such an honour will not only acknowledge his remarkable endeavours but also provide a platform for his continued contribution to the betterment of society.
