Portland Public Schools under the leadership of Superintendent Carole Smith has allowed toxic levels of lead to circulate in two different school populations for weeks.  They knew about the lead.  They did nothing.  Portland Public Schools has failed to regularly test aging schools for lead for the last fifteen years.  Portland Public Schools has failed to properly use school funds to remedy the poisoning of our children.  This has to end with the immediate firing or resignation of Superintendent Carole Smith.
