An independent legal council will hear testimony and render a verdict on the PWB's application to build a 1.5 BILLION water treatment plant on rurally farmed land.
• You can attend in person or virtually.
• You may provide a 5 min. oral or written testimony. To do so, deadline is June 29th, 2 pm for written testimony and should submitted to LUP-Comments@multco.us
• Oral testimonies will be allowed with registration.

••• Things to keep in mind:
• Impact that a non-local utility will have on a rural community
• Impact on the roads and traffic for 4+ years

• Transportation of chemicals FOREVER on our roads
• Unaffordability water rates (currently $3.90 in 2023, and with proposed increases - $12.85 in 2028 to $25.34 in 2036)

Think of how the water rate increase will affect your family's budget.

Think about the safety of the roads as the chemicals and trucks will need to be transported through your city.

Think about what this will do to any business that uses large amounts of water i.e. breweries, hotels (tourism), etc. This inflation of water rates will affect you in more ways than just directly in your faucet!
