The scariest thing this Halloween may not be the ghost in your closet but Portland’s mega-industrial filtration plant!

Traffic congestion will not only impact the local rural community, but the entire Portland metro area as the supplies and chemicals will need to be transported into the region for the build and operation of this mega-plant!

SCARY FACT:
If approved, PWB will be digging pipeline trenches on our roads during the 5-7 year construction period. What to do about the gaping holes in the road when an emergency vehicle needs to reach your house? In their testimony, PWB states that an emergency responder can just “call ahead” to the contractor so they can cover the trenches with iron plates to allow “immediate passage” of emergency vehicles. Sounds likely right?!

Let’s not let the “scary facts” get us down though. As a community, we have been fighting hard to keep this plant out of our neighborhoods. We have made massive progress in blocking land use approval for this project, BUT we're not out of the woods yet.

We need the help of the entire Portland Metro ratepayer community in raising funds so that our land use attorney can continue fighting for this community through the upcoming appeals process.

Please join us at a not-so-scary community meeting coming up THIS Sunday November 5 (details below).

There will be hot cider,☕️ cookies, holiday goodies, and some great stories of how we have surprised Portland with our strong efforts.

We need everyone to stay strong and keep up the fight together.
See you there!? Bring a friend or a neighbor or both!
