La Ley Nacional 26.321 entregó a titulo gratuito una porción de un predio ferroviario a la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), el cual se encontraba en custodia y uso por Ferroclub Argentino desde 1993, para el desarrollo de actividades de preservación ferroviaria Ad-Honorem. El texto de la ley expone claramente que la cesion no puede afectar derechos de terceros existentes a la fecha de sanción de la Ley. En forma complementaria a esta ley, la UNTREF firmo un convenio en el cual se compromete a permitir el uso de vías ferroviarias que quedaron dentro del predio cedido.

Desde la firma del convenio a la fecha, varias vías ya han sido levantadas y vehículos ferroviarios históricos, destruidos y convertidos a chatarra por la mencionada casa de estudios. Por años Ferroclub Argentino ha intentado establecer instancias de dialogo y de construcción de una agenda de trabajo en conjunto con la UNTREF, encontrándose siempre con la negativa o evasivas de la UNTREF, difícil de entender, considerando que la entidad mencionada es publica y exhibiéndose como defensora de la cultura.

A la fecha, solo queda una via operativa, la cual resulta indispensable para el desarrollo de las actividades de la ONG Ferroclub Argentino, que ha sido utilizada regularmente durante mas de 20 años. La misma se encuentra en riesgo de pérdida total, ya que ha sido dañada, levantada parcialmente y su acceso obstruido intencionalmente por la UNTREF, en clara violación a la ley y acuerdos firmados.

En las últimas décadas hemos sido testigos de la destrucción del ferrocarril como modo de transporte y del basto patrimonio ferroviario que el país supo tener. El ferrocarril y su historia son parte insoslayable de nuestra identidad como nación. Ferroclub Argentino, Asociacion Civil/ONG con 50 años de trayectoria y con el gran esfuerzo de sus voluntarios, ha sido pionero y defensor de la historia de nuestros ferrocarriles.

Por la protección de la historia ferroviaria y de las actividades de preservación que viene realizando Ferroclub Argentino les solicitamos a las autoridades de la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero:

1- No levantamiento de la única via sobreviviente (conocida como via 10), reconstrucción de la via 9 levantada y acceso irrestricto a las mismas para efectuar maniobras o ubicar unidades ferroviarias.
2- Permitir el acceso vehicular irrestricto a la porción de predio que aun conserva Ferroclub Argentino
3- Detener el desguace del material ferroviario histórico.
4- Reconocimiento y respeto de las actividades realizadas por Ferroclub Argentino y apertura a construir una agenda cultural conjunta.

National Law 26,321 transfered free of charge a portion of a railway land to the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), which was in custody and use by Ferroclub Argentino since 1993, for the development of Ad-Honorem railway preservation activities. The text of the law clearly states that the transfer cannot affect the rights of third parties existing on the date of enactment of the Law. In addition to this law, UNTREF signed an agreement in which it undertakes to allow the use of railway tracks that remained within the ceded property.

Since the signing of the agreement to date, several tracks have already been erected and historic railway vehicles, destroyed and converted to scrap metal by the aforementioned house of studies. For years Ferroclub Argentino has tried to establish instances of dialogue and construction of a work agenda in conjunction with UNTREF, always encountering the refusal or evasions of UNTREF, difficult to understand, considering that the aforementioned entity is public and exhibiting itself as a defender of culture.

To date, there is only one operational remaining track, which is essential for the development of the activities of the NGO Ferroclub Argentino, which has been used regularly for more than 20 years. It is at risk of total loss, since it has been damaged, partially dismantled and its access intentionally obstructed by UNTREF, in clear violation of the law and signed agreements.

In recent decades we have witnessed the destruction of the railway as a mode of transport and the vast railway heritage that the country once had. The railroad and its history are an inescapable part of our identity as a nation. Ferroclub Argentino, Civil Association/NGO with 50 years of experience and with the great effort of its volunteers, has been a pioneer and defender of the history of our railways.

For the protection of the railway history and the preservation activities that Ferroclub Argentino has been carrying out, we ask the authorities of the National University of Tres de Febrero:

1- No dismantling of the only surviving track (known as track 10), reconstruction of track 9 already dismantled and unrestricted access to them to carry out maneuvers or locate railway units.

2- Allow unrestricted vehicular access to the portion of the property that Ferroclub Argentino still retains

3- Stop the scrapping of historical railway material.

4- Recognition and respect for the activities carried out by Ferroclub Argentino and openness to build a joint cultural agenda.
