Sign our petition to include Flight Attendants (FAs) in the early retirement scheme!

Dear fellow Flight Attendants (FAs),

We are reaching out to all of you to unite and defend our rights. Despite the fact that Royal Decree 1559/1986 recognizes the arduous and hazardous nature of flight personnel’s work, it unjustly excludes FAs from the benefits of early retirement. This exclusion is not only unfair but also perpetuates discrimination, especially towards women, who make up the majority of our profession. Why is it important for you to sign this petition?

Our job is dangerous and strenuous
Every day, we are exposed to numerous risks that affect our health, such as:
   - Viruses and bacteria on board and at destinations.
   - Pressure changes that cause physical issues like barotraumas and ear injuries.
   - Exposure to cosmic radiation, which increases the risk of cancer and other diseases.
   - Chronic fatigue, sleep disturbances, and mental health issues, among others.

This risks are recognized for other flight personnel, yet FAs remain excluded from the benefits of early retirement.

Gender discrimination
Around 60% of FAs are women, yet we are excluded from a measure that primarily benefits men in other flight roles. This perpetuates gender inequality that should no longer exist in our sector or any other.

We demand equal rights
It is unjust that, while working under the same hazardous conditions, we do not have the same rights as other flight personnel. Our work is crucial to the safety and well-being of passengers, and it deserves to be recognized equally.

What are we asking for?

We demand the modification of RD 1559/1986 so that FAs can also access early retirement, applying the same reduction coefficients granted to other flight personnel.

We need your support

Now is the time to act together and raise our voices to ensure we are recognized.
Your signature is essential to acknowledge the hazardous nature of our work and allow us access to early retirement on equal terms.

Sign the petition and share this message with your fellow FAs. Together, we can achieve the change we deserve.
