I thought I would post a photograph I recently came across. Taken shortly after a promotion, and just before I left for Basic Parachute Training at the then Airborne Training Centre located at CFB Griesbach. Around the same time Canada's now profiteer Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who this month is almost exactly a year younger than myself, was still in University. Partying and publicly posing in 'black face' so many times he lost count. Avoiding accountability and justice through an NDA, carefully crafted by his daddy's legal dream team. Attending drug fuelled festivals with female reporters etc. Interesting how things have turned out, and the separate paths we took. One in the service of Canada, and one in the service of himself. Unlike PM Trudeau who still looks healthy and happy. Well fed, his every need and want being catered to by hard working Canadians. While I'm now almost unrecognizable. About 85 pounds lighter than I was in this healthy photograph. Looking forward to completing Jump School, then off to my Infantry Section Commanders Course, and a career in the CF as an Infantryman. That was the plan at least. Justin of course now has his multiple federal pensions for life, which unlike mine earned through blood and sacrifice, can't be taken away and he doesn't need to prove that he's still worthy of every year through a weaponized self serving political process. I sincerely hope that when Rule of Law, the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, basic human decency, fairness, and sanity are restored to Canada that one of the first orders of the new government is to rescind the awful, discriminatory piece of legislation that allows tyrants to target injured Canadian Forces Veterans to settle petty political scores while profiting from it.
