I just received a letter dated Dec 22, 2022 from VAC Minister Lawrence MacAulay. It's in response to my letter addressed and delivered to PM Justin Trudeau. MacAulay writes in part, "...the Department may need to verify continued eligibility for monthly disability program benefits, which include disability pension." VAC does this by forcing Veterans to fill out yearly, "...a VAC913 annual Declaration of Disability Program Benefits" form. Issues: this form can't be found on the VAC/Government of Canada website, some years it doesn't get delivered, when it does arrive it's filled out immediately and sent back-[now returned via courier to PM Trudeau's office], VAC then claims they don't receive the form, VAC then suspends the VAC Disability Pension. A pension paid as a matter of right, not privilege. Veterans are the only Canadians required to do this every year, or face pension suspension. He finishes by expressing his gratitude for my, "...dedicated service to our country."
