No sooner had fans started to relax and take a breath after their first few listens to Showgirl than Taylor decided to hit them with FOUR NEW VERSIONS of the album on Saturday. The email from Taylor Nation promised a “bonus track limited release,” but unlike in album cycles past, these “bonus tracks” were just acoustic versions of songs fans had already heard.

Sound like grift yet? The scoop is this: Taylor is gunning for Adele’s record of 3.4 million album sales in one week. Judging by her total sales on Friday alone, she’s probably going to get it, but we don’t have to help! Remember not to stream the album until Oct. 10th, if you do so at all, and please forward this email to a friend!
