Dear Village of the Branch Resident:

Saint Patrick's Romans Catholic Church has now been asked by the Trustees of the Village of the Branch to apply for a special use permit to hold a Carnival and Family Festival on September 26th through the 29th of 2024.  The event will be held in our front parking lot bordering East Main Street.  The Carnival will be professionally run by Newton Shows.  Newton Shows is based on Long Island, fully insured and has been in business for over 74 years.  We have received a written commitment that Suffolk County Police Department will work with us for extra security and support in planning and running the event.  

We are applying for a Special Use Permit since village code 275-61 section F bans holding carnivals, circus or other amusement park type operations and mechanical rides.  (Ferris wheels, carousels, etc.) connected with commercial carnivals.  We are requesting that the Village Trustees grant us special permission to include mechanical type rides in our festival of events.

We are asking for your assistance to support this event.  If you can please come to the Village Board of Trustees meeting at VOB Village Hall on Tuesday April 9th, 2024, at 7:30pm.  If you are unable to attend, please email your comments including your name and address to Village at:  Clerk@villageofthebranchny.gov
