After a couple of days of this petition, we finally garnered 135 signatories. Some of them are concerned because the author of saiantipik risirts insist that in Cuyonon, there are no letters U as in Uber and soft E as in Egg are highly influential. However, NO LIE COULD EVER WITHSTAND THE TRUTH. What are we fighting for? We are not just fighting for the Letters U and soft E. We are fighting for our language, culture and tradition that has been handed down to us since Datu Magbanua brought the Cuyonon language to Cuyo in 1250. Who are we going to believe? What we and our ancestors know that these letters exist or the "imo-imong pagsurulaten" (made up spelling) whose only claim to fame is to delete the letters U and soft E in the Cuyonon alphabet?
