Petition to End Animal Cruelty

Who is Impacted?

Every year, countless animals suffer unimaginable pain and cruelty at the hands of humans. Animals in factory farms, laboratories, and even on our streets endure cramped and filthy living conditions, physical abuse, and neglect. They are denied their basic needs and treated as mere commodities, not living beings.

What is at Stake?

The continued practice of animal cruelty has far-reaching consequences. It inflicts unnecessary pain and suffering on sentient beings, undermines public trust in businesses and institutions, and poses a threat to animal health and safety.

Why is Now the Time to Act?

We cannot stand by and allow animal cruelty to continue. It is time to demand change and hold those responsible accountable. We need to:

- Strengthen animal welfare laws: Current laws are often inadequate and poorly enforced. We need stricter regulations and harsher penalties for animal cruelty.

-Increase public awareness: The public must be educated about the realities of animal cruelty so they can make informed choices and advocate for change.

-Support animal welfare organizations: These organizations work tirelessly to rescue animals from abuse, provide them with care and sanctuary, and promote humane policies.

NEW LAW THAT WE MUST IMPLEMENT !

This law is currently implemented in Switzerland, making it much safer for all animals.

Article 26 of the Animal Welfare Act (2005) provides that anyone who wilfully mistreats or neglects an animal, unnecessarily overworks it or in any other way disregards its dignity is liable to a fine or imprisonment of up to three years. Anyone who does so through negligence is liable to a fine or imprisonment of up to 180 days.

The Animal Welfare Act (2005) also proscribes that punishment for general maltreatment of animals is imprisonment or a fine. Animals may also be forfeit, and the person convicted of such an offence may be banned from keeping animals.

By taking action now, we can create a world where all animals are treated with respect and compassion. Please sign this petition and join the fight to end animal cruelty. Please also consider contacting your elected officials and urging them to support stronger animal welfare laws.

Together, we can make a difference.
