Mary, thank you for the support ... however get your facts straight before you make a comment that you did not fully research and understand. Especially the facts ... First the dog that attacked my service dog was "NOT" a 5 month old puppy. It was a fully grown 5 YEAR old hunting dog. The breed makes no difference. Every single day in the United States - 12,000 people will be attacked and bitten by dogs. Every breed has that potential to cause harm. Just because a breed is friendly with it's family or PACK ... does not mean it is friendly to strange dogs and strange people. Second, I live in a sub division that is connect by a tunnel to two state parks with more than 14 miles of wilderness and trails. We have packs of coyote that roam those parks and on occasion my neighborhood. Third, your opinion about GUNS is just that...your opinion, not mine. I carry a firearm because I can't carry a police officer 24/7 on my back. Let something bad happen to you and you will either be calling 911 to get a police officer with a GUN to come rescue you or you can be the person that is responsible enough to carry a firearm and defend yourself.
