T G Jones is my favourite shop in Malmesbury. It is also the oldest. First founded as a shop that sold sheet music. It then became W H Smith, one of over 400 stationers shops in Great Britain's High Streets. It sells a huge range of products, and books. And it is now called T G Jones. Modella Capital the owners, are  closing branches all over the country. 😬. Malmesbury's store was not on the closure list. Yet it now is! 😑 My home town has survived multiple Banks, Chemists and Gift Shop closures, and the awful time of Covid. But, the possible closure of T G Jones will have an even more severe effect on this town. I want all of the High Street shops to thrive and survive. I am a shop keeper's daughter. I know the pressures. And I am thankful that my Father had a successful shop for over 40 years here. I know that All shops need support for towns to stay alive.
