If he's not still voicing Mario and the other Italian Plumbers in the games, he might as well be replaced in the sequel to the Mario Movie as Mario's father if featured, besides Charles Martinet's role as Mario Ambassador makes him no longer able to do voice acting in anything. Kevin Afghani shouldn't be the one to take over the role based on how much older he is then Chris Pratt and Charlie Day, but he can take over as Guiseppe, in addition to having an undisclosed role as someone in the sequel that we didn't see in the first film.
