Jun 9, 2014 — UPDATE: Placer County Sup. Jim Holmes states in a recent article below that a preliminary deal to subsidize Costco with taxpayer money and to evict the seniors and DeWitt theater is near. But the fight to protect our community and neighborhood is just beginning. Public hearings and an EIR study must still be completed before the project can be approved. Please continue to spread the word about our petition to your friends and contacts so that we can let the county know loud and clear that we will not stand by and let Auburn be Jim Holmes' lucrative dump site for big box stores. http://www.auburnjournal.com/article/holmes-costco-deal-close-community-center-be-studied
