There are so many accidents on highways, and this news is no exception. We sincerely cry out for the helpless. But, what can be done to improve the dangers of driving on highways? 

Isn't it high time, a better, integrated public transport model came about to be introduced to the capital city? Are we going to allow these sad incidents to occur over and again? 

KUALA LUMPUR: A 3-year-old boy was killed, while his parents and elder brother were injured when their car overturned at Km14.5 of the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2) on Sunday.

Gombak district police chief Assistant Commissioner Arifai Tarawe said in the 10am incident, the family was in a Nissan Almera heading to Ampang from Rawang, when the vehicle skidded while negotiating a bend and overturned.

"The victim's father, aged 42, who was driving the car, sustained injuries to his hips and is currently being treated at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

"The mother, 43, and the elder brother, 6, sustained light injuries as a result of the accident," he said in a statement.

He said that the victim's remains were taken to the Selayang Hospital for a post mortem. - Bernama
