Reasons Why Our Residents Reject PJD LINK Highway.
From Bandar Utama Petaling Jaya Residents Group.
We urge all fellow residents to support for our residency to reject this PJD Link Highway for the following reasons :-
1-Bandar Utama's Persiaran Bukit, Tengkat, Dataran, Persiaran and lebuh Bandar Utama already gridlocked by traffic. They encroach from the NKVE, SPRINT, LDP, Kepong, Persiaran Surian and DUKE, we do not need any PJD-Link.
2-We already have more than our share of SRJKs, SMKs, SJKC&T schools apart from First City Uni-College and British Intl
3-We have Surau Al-Syakirin next to busy schools and Masjid BU at BU12 with heavy parking on Fridays.
4-We have One-Utama, 1PowerHouse,One - World First Avenue. OneCapitol will be on stream later.
5-Construction of GS01-LRT3 BU-Main and South stations behind 1PowerHse and Effingham School are ongoing.
6-The SPRINT Highway along Kg Sungai Kayu Ara and the ramp exiting to BI11-12, Ming Tien are already congested.
7-LebuhBU is congested with traffic from Ara Damansara & Tropicana congesting to BU11-12 residents from their homes
8-PJD-Link's proposed construction of two over- head ramps from LBU near the Sprint exits will turn our congestion into a traffic quagmire.
9-We have two MRT Stations at Surian and BU and another two LRT3 Stations under construction, and we will use public transport - therefore No PJD Link needed
10-With "Normal-Baru" thanks to Covid19 most of us are already working from home, we do not need PJD-Link.
11-Majlis Perbandaran Petaling Jaya (MBPJ) have never undertaken Trafic Impact Assessment (TIA) or RSA for Damansara Utama / SPRINT / BU - LBU - Ara traffic up to toll DU NKVE.
12-The Malaysian Economy and Finances are already saddled with RM1 and with Penjana projects, it will be almost RM2 Trillion debts. Does the government still want to build more highways and tax rakyat?
13-Why should our children, grandchildren be made to pay for all these high margin of debt, untold damage for years to come?
