The Issue

This year there have been talks of changing a standing tradition where Pitt Early College students would be forced to purchase an additional cap and gown to wear at our College Graduation.

Many students who have spent their own hard-earned money to purchase our Highschool gowns, or our parents.

Not only will this cause financial burdens and hardships, it will be the end of a tradition where Pitt Early College High School students were able to differentiate ourselves at graduation. Our caps and gowns tell a story. They represent our pack, we are grateful to Pitt Community College, but its cap and gown don't represent our Pack, and our journey to graduation.
