All over the world, bees are dying at an alarming rate due to the use of dangerous pesticides, such as neonics, that kill off large colonies of bees. If bees cease to exist, we lose a substantial chain in our food system. Pollination allows for many foods to be grown, such as almonds, strawberries, and even coffee. Without bees, we will be without our favorite foods. To save the bees, cities all over the world are becoming bee-friendly cities by making a commitment to build bee-friendly gardens or ban the use of pesticides that are directed to kill bees. Help us get the city of Lansing make the commitment to take the bee-friendly commitment, just like Michigan State University and East Lansing did right down the road!
