Things are moving along quite well. The City of Largo is moving to open the lake for public use. After securing permission to SCUBA dive there, I did the first exploratory dive today with my son Christian Soto & Buck Reed. Water temperature dropped to 74 degrees on the bottom. We focused on the north west corner and reached a depth of 26 feet. Lots of trash and debris in water that needs to be cleaned up. Visibility was 30 foot until we stirred silt up. The bottom is mostly hard limestone with a layer of black silt. The silt will eventually clear up with constant use. Lots of bass, brim, tilapia, turtles and looks like a couple small gators that swam & stayed away while we were looking around. I have a video that will upload soon once I edit to shorten it down. Looking forward to helping make this a great local place for various water activities.
