As you may or may not know, year 12 students are graduating high school within a few weeks time. Pine Rivers SHS has said that our parents are not allowed to attend the ceremony AND our ceremony CANNOT be recorded or livestream due to privacy concerns. Myself, my peers, and our parents find this treatment to be a bit unfair. Graduating high school and crossing the stage to get your QCE is an important rite of passage, to students and families. Other schools in the local area are given an opportunity to have their parents attend the graduation ceremony or even have a live stream or video to be recorded and sent home to families and loved ones. By signing this petition, you are agreeing that Pine Rivers SHS school will reconsider having a live stream or a video sent home to families, to take something away from this beautiful rite of passage and allow families and students to receive fair treatment.
