Petition to repeal Mississippi House Bill 1523

The Issue

Mississippi House Bill 1523 not only is a violation of the US Constitution but a clear infringement of basic human rights.
This House Bill was referred to Judiciary B on February and signed and approved by the MS Governor on April 5, 2016.

The bill states "The state government shall not take any discriminatory action against a religious organization.." which effectively allows any MS citizen to freely discriminate against any citizen who's lifestyle goes against their religious beliefs, without repercussions from the state government.

This bill is a clear shot at those of the LGBTQ community who reside in Mississippi. forbidding marriage to those who are not "One man and one woman".

The bill  allows any employer to refuse employment to or fire anyone as long as its a "sincerely held religious belief or moral conviction".

There is more to this law, these examples only scratch the surface. I urge all citizens who uphold American values to read this bill and sign for its immediate repeal.
