My son has been Type 1 diabetic since age 8, we have never had a problem with getting his insulin or other medical supplies until recently, he started a full time job so he no longer qualified for Medicaid, insurance thru his work is crazy expensive and he’s still expected to pay upto $99 for 1 vial of insulin, which sometimes he requires upto 4 vials a month since he is on the insulin pump and CGM. This is ridiculous, choosing to pay bills over life is unthinkable and shouldn’t have to even be a thought especially when NARCAN is FREE to save lives of drug abusers, my son did not choose to have diabetes and rely on insulin to be able to live so we shouldn’t have to suffer and struggle like this!! Let’s petition these pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, doctors and government to atleast make it affordable for anyone with diabetes especially Type 1 which there is no cure. Help support me, my son and many other parents out there fighting to help keep our children alive with the proper care and availability of affordable insulin prices for all type of insulin!!
