It's finally official!

The language has been updated & the closure of Mattaponi is off the table..for now. A planning study will be conducted in the next 6 years to consider options to address under-enrollment at Mattaponi and all of the surrounding schools (Marlton, Melwood, & Rosaryville). Additional details can be found beginning on page 5-130 at www1.pgcps.org/WorkArea/DownloadAsset.aspx?id=225369 So the fight is over for now, but be prepared for a repeat once the findings of the planning meeting are presented. Please stay involved - there is a community meeting on May 3rd (6:30pm@Oxon Hill HS, Media Center) to discuss the 2017 Educational Facilities Master Plan for the southern area schools. Our voice was heard this time and we need to stay on the Board's radar. Thanks again for all of your support through petition comments, emails, and calls to the Board.
