New School Year Update

Hello! As the 2026-2027 schoolyear has now started, I wanted to post an update. The Superintendent of Mahopac Central School District, Mr. DiGrandi, has made time on his schedule tomorrow to meet with me; I will be discussing the safety issues I have raised in this petition and throughout my almost 5 years of advocacy. My consistent goal remains, namely that drop-off/pick-up children attending Austin Road school are safeguarded equally to their peers who take the schoolbus to/from Austin Rd school, so drop-off/pick-up students no longer walk in close proximity to moving vehicles in the lower parking lot of Austin Road school. I will update you on the outcome of my 9/4/2026 meeting with Mr. DiGrandi. Thank you all, Elaine
