To the Members of the Three Rivers College Board of Trustees:

We, the undersigned students, alumni, community members, supporters of Three Rivers College, and advocates for collegiate rodeo, respectfully submit this petition requesting that the Board of Trustees conduct a comprehensive review of the leadership and administrative decisions of President Wesley Payne, specifically as they relate to the discontinuation of the Three Rivers College Rodeo Program and the transparency surrounding that decision.

The rodeo program has long been a source of pride for the college and the surrounding region. It has provided educational opportunities, scholarships, athletic competition, and a pathway for students who might not otherwise have chosen Three Rivers College. The program has also strengthened relationships with local businesses, agricultural organizations, and community supporters.

We respectfully request that the Board:

•Conduct an independent review of the decision-making process that resulted in the suspension or elimination of the rodeo program.
•Release financial information related to the rodeo program, including annual operating budgets, revenue sources, expenditures, donations, sponsorships, and any documented financial deficits that contributed to the decision.
•Evaluate whether all reasonable alternatives to discontinuing the program were considered before the decision was made.
•Publicly identify the conditions under which the rodeo program could be reinstated, including any financial or organizational benchmarks.
•Conduct a formal review of President Wesley Payne's leadership regarding transparency, communication with stakeholders, and stewardship of the rodeo program.
If the Board determines that the President has failed to meet the standards of leadership expected by the institution, take whatever action it deems appropriate, including consideration of new leadership.
This petition is not intended as a personal attack on any individual. Rather, it is a request for accountability, transparency, and responsible governance. We believe the Board has both the authority and the responsibility to ensure that significant institutional decisions are made openly, thoughtfully, and in the best interests of students, faculty, alumni, and the communities Three Rivers College serves.

Our goal is to preserve opportunities for current and future students while restoring confidence in the leadership and decision-making processes of the College.

We respectfully ask the Board of Trustees to acknowledge this petition, provide a public response, and engage with stakeholders regarding the future of the rodeo program.
