Over this past year, me and many other students have had a difficult time with Mr. McCabe. There's a various list of things that me and my peers have experienced.

First, there is an overflow of hours of work being assigned. There are even assignments that we haven't been told about. An overflow of assignments creates the lack of motivation towards completing them. That's why many, many, many students and I during the past year have failed his class. In the beginning of class, he only talks about one assignment and most of the time calls it "self-explanatory." He then sits in his chair all period on his computer with no actual lecture. And to remind you, this is what it's like everyday. Next, he's mentioned about the lack of assignments turned in and the amount of students that are failing his class. He then proceeds to tell the group of failing students to "get help." Thirdly, he's stated that he does not respond to emails after school or over the weekend. This doesn't allow us to ask for help with assignments when needed. It is very inconvenient and ridiculous. Another thing is that during this year he's had Covid two times and a virus and doesn't consider to wear a mask, coughs out loud/into his hands, and eats during class. He is also late on grading almost all the time and has mentioned how he takes sick days to himself. He also gets aggressive from time to time and curses at the class. Some of my other friends earlier this year have even complained, too and from known knowledge no action was taken.

Me and my peers are very frustrated with his way of handling his class. My friend helped me go around our class and ask our peers what their grade is in his class. There are 14 students with an F or D, 8 with a C, there were no recorded students with a B, and there is only ONE student with an A. Similar statistics goes for his other classes. Many students have also mentioned that they are doing well in their other classes. Even for myself, I've had and have a failing grade in his class while my other classes are fine. He has failed a large amount of students ALL YEAR.

All of this gives us absolutely NO motivation whatsoever for his class. I make this petition with positive intentions and in hopes some sort of action is taken.

McCabes way of handling his class needs to change. Big time.
