Nearby homeowners will also bear the burden of noise, congestion, and disruption to the peaceful, rural character they chose this community for. This development brings commercial operations into a purely residential setting, affecting everyone who values the safety and serenity of our village.

If this development is approved, Barrington Hills could set a dangerous precedent—eroding long-standing zoning protections that preserve our rural identity. Commercial creep in the form of dining, retail, events, and alcohol-centered gatherings would fundamentally change the fabric of our village. The safety of our roads, the quiet enjoyment of our properties, and the unique low-density character that defines Barrington Hills would be permanently compromised. If we don’t act, this project could open the door to further incompatible uses in other residential areas.

Now is the time to act because this proposal is under review, and public input will directly influence the outcome.
