Please prohibit the feeding of pigeons on East 26th and East 27th between Lexington and 3rd Avenue which are residential blocks.  

The noise, commotion, scattered seed, and feces are all invasive to the tenants on the block and pigeon feces is linked to numerous diseases including: E Coli, St. Louis Encephalitis , Histoplasmosis, Salmonellosis, Cryptococcosis and Psittacosis. Pigeons are also carriers of mites, fleas and West Nile virus, all of which can cause discomfort and potentially serious health issues in humans.

We greatly appreciate your help in clearing our block of pigeon feeders and maintaining a sanitary and healthy living environment.
